THE ORGANIZATION

The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), was established in 1976 to provide real estate brokers with shared knowledge and tools. Recognizing the need for advanced education, the Council developed training courses for sales agents and established the Certified Residential Specialist Designation.  Headquartered in downtown Chicago, the RRC is recognized as the leading provider of real estate education and networking for residential real estate agents, and the CRS Designation is considered the most prestigious designations a real estate agent can achieve.

 

THE POSITION

The Residential Real Estate Council is looking for a self-motivated Business Development Manager to help us reach our revenue growth objectives. The ideal candidate will bring to this role proven business development experience, ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment and the skills to interact with senior executives both within and outside of the company. The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities run through the full business development cycle from prospecting and qualifying to closing the deal.  This role is ideal for individuals seeking a lucrative and fulfilling career in sales and business development. RRC has a hybrid work environment with some remote days and some days in the office.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generating leads and prospects through various contacts
  • Setting up sales calls and creating personalized client proposals
  • Creating marketing messages and sending personalized email communications to engage prospective clients
  • Selling and supporting exhibits at our key marquee events.
  • Working with the organization’s teams to develop a thorough understanding of our advertising, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities, so that you can identify potential prospects and help develop a strategy for outreach
  • Assisting in the creation of sponsorship brochures and collateral
  • Conducting research to produce qualified sales leads and developing a prospect target list for sponsored thought leadership and advertising opportunities
  • Developing and proposing qualified opportunities
  • Producing sales reports and analyzing key sales metrics

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or business
  • 1-2 years experience in B2B sales/media or marketing preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CRM desired
