Summary: Under the direction of the Manager, Communications, the Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of strategic marketing, advertising and promotion initiatives and creates and implements marketing campaigns, as well as serves as departmental liaison to the Professional Development department on the REALTORS® Real Estate School’s, CAR Foundation and serves as the lead for event production. Engages in a variety of duties and responsibilities that address members' needs.

 

I. · Plan and execute the marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns, and general member notifications as needed. This includes but is not limited to internal and external publications, e-blasts, direct mail, branding, expos, conferences, internal and external communications, social media, digital, video, and collateral, etc.

· Lead the scripting, stage management and production of association events including Sales Awards, Market Outlook and Inaugural Gala. This includes but is not limited to scriptwriting, facilitating communication across relevant departments and members, calling technical cues during programming and overseeing rehearsals.

· Serve as marketing point of contact in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives and projects for the REALTORS® Real Estate School, participate in planning meetings, ensure submitted content is accurate and concise, follow up appropriately to measure the success of RRES marketing strategies, coordinate graphic needs, ensure applicability of ad placement, and ensure project timeline(s) are met.

· Serve as the marketing point of contact in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives and projects for the CAR Foundation.

· Obtain, monitor and analyze data on email trends, and manage, organize and update marketing CRMs. Maintain member/student databases and spreadsheets in various marketing software.

· Proactively ensure accurate and timely maintenance of the RRES website as well as assist with new content and make recommendations for website improvement.

· Develop, implement and manage marketing campaigns in relation to promotions, deadlines, due dates, etc.

· Work with Senior Graphic Designer to develop marketing collateral (postcards, brochures, etc.) and branded giveaways.

· Participate on committees and workgroup(s) to support the achievement of overall marketing goals as appropriate.

· Accurately proofread all Association communications.

· Assist Communications Department with planning, promoting, and staffing association events.

· Assist Meeting and Events Team on-site as needed.

· Other duties as assigned or required.

· Be knowledgeable on the annual CAR Business Plans and budget for assigned areas

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related is required. Website design experience preferred. Writing or editing experience preferred. Social Media Management Experience preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in a Marketing or Communication role required.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry briefings, contracts, letters of agreement and procedures manuals. Ability to write in-depth reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of the organization.

Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, and analyze them.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with complex problems involving several variables. Ability to think creatively and speak thoughtfully under pressure.

Computer Skills: Functional knowledge of word processing software such as Microsoft Word, spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, calendaring software such as Microsoft Outlook, and database software such as Access required. Working knowledge of HTML and/or a Web content manager as well as experience working with email campaign tools are required.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
